Loki had found himself in quite the predicament it seemed. He woke up with a raging hangover and a bitter taste left in his mouth as his body had expelled some of the liqueur he had consumed the night before. With a rather unprofessional look to the still partially drunk man he fit in quite well with the group that gathered in this... Building? Loki's memory of the last 12 hours was quite shady and because of this he had really no idea what was going on or what he was doing there, but from a quick look around and the small group of bounty hunters with some hot shot marine on a podium front and center it was easy to guess. In his drunken stupor he had either A. Heard of some job and accepted without even hearing what the reward was or who was offering it, or B. He passed out in this building well before the groups gathered and just happened to be here. In either case it would seem that he was now fully roped into whatever Marine plot was to come. If long winded speeches weren't bad enough already his half drunken hangover made things much much worse about them. One of the fellows sitting next to him softly spoke a few words that seemed to be aimed at Loki. The man next to him had longer dark black hair and dressed similar to that of an old school samurai, the actual names of his garb evading his tongue for now.

"Ha, yea your telling me. Sooo uh.. What are we doing here anyway? I may or may not have been ever so slightly intoxicated... For the last week or so..."

Loki's body slumped back in his chair and he softly let out a long sigh, the smell of run no doubt heavy on his breath. What could he have possibly gotten himself into this time? He his left hand through his hair a time or two before accepting his situation and preparing himself. Luckily enough he had managed to keep track of his daggers, he could feel the sheath fastened tightly to the back of his waist and forearm. At least the absolute worst hasn't happened...

Now his right foot was busy tapping away at the floor in a display of impatience.Ondori's focus fastened on the man and an amused expression found itself blooming during the term of a few seconds, before he let loose a few light chuckles. "Basically you signed yourself up to go and kill some Revolutionaries a few knots out from Yotsuba . . . you know you're in Yotsuba right?" At least the Captain provided entertainment for meeting, it's only a shame that Ondori just came across the commodity. "If there are no more questions you can go and board the two small vessels I have supplied you all with." Wit that people didn't hesitate to stand from their seats, press off of walls, and stretch their stiff yet lithe bones and muscles, Ondori was amongst these people. "But yeah, the pay is pretty nice, so at least you're not a stupid drunk." His shoulder rose and dropped in a pity shrug trying to toss out a consolation prize to the guy. Walking over to board one of the ships, he would stop then turn to face the blonde wherever he may be. "You do know how to fight right?" Now was a bit too late to get off the metaphorical boat unless the guy felt no shame in pulling off a stunt to escape right now. Regardless of the answer, once they were loaded up ten to each vessel, they'd take off towards where the Revolutionary vessel was sighted.

Loki smirked as he got himself situated and began to fully grasp his current situation. Luckily enough he was still on Yotsuba so he hadn't gone too far from his little dinghy. Before the of them could continue the Marine who had been doing all the shouting earlier gave them 'permission' to board one of two sorry excuses for ships. With that the whole crowd begin to get up from seats and start making their way towards the boats. Loki was sent the to the same boat as the man he had talked with earlier. As they stood up though the man confirmed something, letting him know that at least the pay was nice... Unusual for Marines to pay well but it was something Loki wasn't concerned with as long as he did get paid in the end. Figures that Marines would hire out mercs to do their dirty work when it came to the Rev's, god forbid they incite something they can't handle themselves. They were both nearing their boat now, the closer Loki got to it the more it looked like a giant turd than a real boat. He wasn't even sure if this thing was going to last more than ten minutes on the water. With those thoughts in the back of his mind he picked up Ondori's final question about his combat skills and decided to give a witty response.

"Well you're probably giving me too much credit about not being a stupid drunk. But if there are two things I know in life its Ships and Fighting... Three things if you count women... Four for rum..."

Loki paused for a moment as if he had realized something he had never once known.

"I've never realized I was good at so many things!"

Loki's own epiphany encouraged his new friend to start counting things he was good at as well. Although it wasn't a competition Loki had one upped his counterpart and took a bit of pride knowing that he had won the metaphorical battle. With that he figured he would introduce himself to his knew acquaintance.

"Well since we will probably be stuck on this boat for a while I might as well introduce myself. I'm Loki, currently unaffiliated of course, else I'd probably have better things to do than be here."

He waited for his friend to introduce himself and then another man towards the front of them boat rather 'politely' asked them to shut the fuck up. He did mention something peculiar though. The exact words being 'Something funny and the water being blocked out' either the sea was full of garbage bodies oooooorrrr. Loki had to take a little peek over the edge when he caught an eyeful of the shadowy waters. As a shipwright he knew about Naval Mines and the fact that they were the literal manifestation of every sailors nightmares. Loki couldn't help but let out a long hmmmmmmm as he thought about what he knew for a minute.

"Well those are most certainly Naval Mines, they aren't too deep either so even this poor excuse for a raft could set them off. Considering we haven't set one off yet means that they are more than likely older mines which require direct contact with something to detonate... That also means that since they are old they could literally go off at any time because they pieces of shit and were made that way so people didn't have to retrieve them."


The man to his side pulled out a small telescope after Loki informed the whole boat of the dangers that lurk just below the water. He peered through it checking out the faint light in the distance, no doubt that it was the vessel they were searching for. He cursed under his breath and was somewhat frustrated with the current view under the night sky, his new found friend agreed and had a few words for the matter and Loki nodded his head in agreement. He was about to put the eyeglass away when he handed it over to Loki, who graciously borrowed the device for a few moments to try and study the ship but the lighting was too poor to make much out.

"Yes if only there was some kind of Dark Vision to help you see at night."

Unable to see much he handed the eyeglass back, Ondori saw a man out on a small ship he called a scouting boat. If it was indeed then there were likely to be a handful or two of floating out in the darkness. He pointed out that the people in them were hiding beneath the boats railing so they wouldn't stand out which made sense, but this all seemed like an awful lot of effort. There was something going on here, it was odd enough for the Revs to be out here but to put out this much effort just to watch a small crew was peculiar. Then the marines hiring twenty plus non marines to take care of it in the dead of night? There were alarms going off somewhere in Loki's head but he couldn't quite connect the dots yet and was only left with a small sense of worry. A mix of panic spread throughout the boat.. Apparently they didn't feel safe anymore on the boat. One by one people started to agree that the best idea would be to swim around the mines instead of sit in a boat that would likely run into one eventually. Soon after there was a majority agreement people starting hopping out of the boat and swimming towards the scouting party.

Loki was one of the last people to ease himself into the cold water. He had spent a bit of time trying to figure out how he was going to take out everybody on the boat but struggled to think of a solid method. He would just have to play support for the time being. It was hard to make out anything in front of him once his eyes adjusted to the water simply due to the darkness but he managed to follow a group of three others towards one of the scouting rafts. He lagged behind for a few seconds but was able to swim his way up to the group quickly. The raft was almost right above them and he wasn't sure what quite was about to happen. That's when it hit him. Entering the boat from the sea left them at quite the disadvantage but if they were to bring the people on the boat into the sea then the tables would turn rather quickly. As Loki on the three others sat underneath the boat he grabbed the others attention and used his hands to signal his plan. Pointing at himself and one other he pointed at one of the boat and did a motion similar to a pull up, the group nodded their understanding in response. After that he pointed to the last two and then pointed at the other side of the boat and a motion where he simply pushed his hands up. Everybody seemed to nod as if they all understood and they slowly swam into their appointed positions. Loki eased himself up towards the surface and waited briefly. He gave one final go ahead nod and the plan sprung into action. Loki and the man next to him broke the surface and pulled on the edge of the boat, the two others pushing from the other side. The small craft quickly turned over on itself and its passengers fell into the water. Streams of bubbles clouded the area briefly as the air rushed back to the surface from wherever it was hiding. The four men then swarmed the five people that fell from the boat unprepared. Loki pulling out one of his dagger quickly stabbed one in the chest and then a second almost immediately after as he was within striking distance. The group surfaced for a moment to catch their breath and moved over to a second ship repeating the cycle. And then a third time. They would have done it a fourth but there was only one scouting raft left within their view and there was a group there already. Loki had some confidence that they could handle themselves, but he was mistaken as right before the boat capsized a bright red ball of light shot into the air. A flare? Somebody fucked up and Loki was simply glad it wasn't him, but this was going to make the job all that harder as anybody on the water could easily see the flare as it hung in the sky. He would mutter to himself as his head bobbed with the soft current.

"Well I suppose things were going just a little to easily weren't they..."
