The sky was shining brightly...well now it was dimming. It was late in the afternoon and she had been called to the Captain’s Office thing. She had forgot the name of the building. To be honest she really didn’t care at the moment. It was June 10th, the day of her mom’s death anniversary. So she didn’t even feel like walking. Though, when the captain called you had to go. Sighing as she walked she wondered what he wanted. She had already been congratulated multiple times by him for winning the tournament. What more did he want. Could she get a break for at least this one day. As she walked the building would come into view. Weren’t really any people crowded around it so maybe it wasn’t important. Getting within 15 meters of the place she would hold her arms up and then stretch them forwards into the air 20 meters as she grabbed hold of the railing outside of the captain’s study. Letting her stretching release she would shoot forward her hands still holding the railing. As she came within feets of the railing she would adjust her body so her feet could land on it while her hands still held it. And of course it would work. Now perched like a bird on the railing she would scream “Hey Cap, what do you need.” through his closed window. He was sitting in his desk with a frown on his face as he stared at some kind of paper.
What could be wrong? Upon hearing Kyoto’s voice his head would move quickly to the window as he would rush to it to let her in.”Hurry Kyoto, this is urget.” said the captain as he motioned her into the study. Kyoto would jump through the window, landing softly on the floor.”So, what do you need?” asked Kyoto. The captain would move to sit back in his chair.”You see, a pirate ship has been spotted far off the coast. And we have reason to believe they are heading this way. I want you to go and intercept the ship.” said the captain. Kyoto would nod, it sounded easy enough.”Ok, sounds easy.” said Kyoto as she turned. As she was about to jump over the window seal the captain would say “See, that is the thing. You have to assasinate the captain of the ship and come back without being seen. Even if you think you are seen you must kill every living thing on the ship and destroy the ship when you are done.” said the captain catching Kyoto off guard. Kyoto would frown, though due to her not facing him the captain would not see. She had to kill? Never had she killed someone in her life. Now she was being ordered to kill someone and maybe even 15 more people.
But she had to comply. She was a marine. She had a job to do. Simply nodding her head she would jump through the window. But as she jumped through it she would hear the captain say “You also have to find your own way to them.” she had almost fell but caught herself from hitting the railing. Looks like she had to go still a rowboat. Landing on the ground safely she would begin running towards the docks. The captain hadn’t exactly given her a location for the pirates so it looked like she would have to do that alone as well. Such help. As she ran at her maximum speed she would see civilians begin to look at her weirdly. She wanted to say “What the fuck do you see.” But she didn’t want to be rude. Her father had taught her better than that. Coming to the docks she would come to see a simple oak wood rowboat in the water just moving around slowly. It was tied to a wood post so it wouldn’t float away. Kyoto would look around and not see anyone in view. Hopping on to the boat she would grab the oars and begin to quickly rotate her arms going out towards the sea. As she did this she heard a old lady scream “What the hell are you doing.” Laughing only slightly Kyoto would say “Sorry Granny, I’ll bring it back.”
Now she had to go find a ship full of pirates and assassinate their captain. Why must life be so hard for her today. Killing people on the day her mother died. Such a savage.
