Bloodshed: A War Between Alabasta And Drum
War is something you read about in books or hear of from your grandfather near the fireplace, but war has unfortunately become the reality for Alabasta as of late. Water 7: Doom?
It's no secret that Water 7 has been battling the annual high tide known as the Aqua Laguna. Every year is a race between how fast the citizens can rebuild versus the natural disaster. Generally it has been heralded as a mundane event. Citizens and government officials alike treat the event as a thing to watch from the safety of the second level and drink hot cocoa waiting for the water to pass on by. However this year was incredibly destructive. Reports of marines being swept away from what is supposed to be the safe zone.
This is theorized to be because the island is sinking into the ocean thus previous safe zones which were completely out of reach, were now dangerous. But what was the most troubling is the failure of the foundation of said safe zone. Never before have the waves ever made a dent in the upper infrastructure made to withstand the disaster. Island officials are confident that these foundational structures can be patched up and even strengthened!
The Revolutionaries Strike Again
While the Grand line has been crazy in itself, the blues have their fair share of turmoil. Times have not been easy on the Marines lately and things seem to be gloomier as of late. Creepy Crawlies
Recently reports of monsters have started to turn it. We at the news coo do not want to advocate the spread of hearsay and probably planted lies. What is being purported is the trueness of man eating monsters throughout paradise. Monsters said to be amalgamations of beasts such as giant birds. Or actual giants with a penchant for cannibalism and human flesh. Amalgamations of humans, beast and fishmen. These are the stories you would expect out of a wife's tale. Stories you use to make children obedient. Monsters who apparently keep repeatedly saying they were released by a Orim satoh, the devil's child? One thing is for certain, missing persons reports are on the rise right as these rumors of monsters started popping up. If you come across anyone suspicious, do not stick around. Report any suspicious activities to your local authorities and stay in orders at night.
Rookie of the Month

Now for Some Good News
Normally the capture of pirates is not a subject of news, even when they are influential. However, what was strange about this arrest is a novice giant as the marines who were on duty would have put it, managed to arrest one of the grand line's most wanted. The man known Cappadonna was calm and serene. He seemed to accept his fate and graciously went to impel down without a fuss. One thing is for certain, he serves as a reminder to us all. That even criminals are capable of reform. Perhaps this will lead more outlaws to turn a new leaf and pay their debts to society.

Remember that wherever there is an overwhelming encroaching darkness, there too is an equal light which gave rise to said darkness. The one thing that is constant in every story here is there are people working hard to protect you. For every wrong doer, there is a Do gooder fighting the evil. While things seem chaotic right now, it is merely the nature of the grandline, no the nature of life.
