TODAY'S TOP NEWS!!
Loco Loguetown
It seems the increased naval activity in response to the red line situation has hit towns and islands with local marine bases harder than others. In places like Loguetown, more pirates and other criminals have taken to committing their deeds in broad daylight. The nerve of those guys! Even with the additional numbers stationed to keep crime in line, the marines seem to be having a tough time handling it without some of their premiere officers around. Rumor has it that even from within the marines themselves there has been crime! Beneath the surface however, there appears to be something else brewing. With the ever expanding sex, weapons, and slave trade becoming more prevalent, folks are worrying about their safety! With news of the marine defeat in the battle against the revolutionary and pirate army spreading, it seems things are going to get interesting.
The Will of Piracy!
In the wake of the most recent events at the mouth of the Redline, the World Government and Marines have suffered a mass number of casualties preventing open access for the revolutionary faction and pirates alike to enter the Red-Line. The wreckage of the aftermath speaks volumes. Whole submarines have been capsized, ships split in half, and corpses spill forth into the seas. It was said the Leader of the Rev/Pirate Alliance was no other than Sakuma Aquaflore, who was accompanied by the Man-Eater Jester. The former who apparently lost his life to a marine commander by the name of Ba'al sometime during the battle. The newest warlord, Ren the Unsheathed Mink also made his debut, but unfortunately lost his life in the battle as well. On the side of justice, five Rear Admirals led a combined effort in the fight, though only three returned. The steam punk Seishoro and the man who aided Admiral Howard D. Saint in the capture of the Pirate King Wallace Sanson lost their lives as well. A funeral service will be held on Marineford. We truly mourn their losses. What will this mean for our safety if we can't rely on our own troops to stop these pirates?!
Villains/Heroes of the Red Line
As a result of their actions in the battle at the Red Line, a group of pirates have gained considerable infamy. While there were standout contributors on the side of the marines as well, history states that the winner tells the tale! The now famous men who participated in this advancement into Paradise are known as "The Reaper of the Revolution" Cyrus Kincaid, "Dead Sights" Gerald Sturm, and "The Sin of Sloth" Jaden King. Regarded as heroes by the pirate populace for contributing to the defeat of the marines and the liberation of the red line, these men have had large bounties put on their heads shortly following the battle. It seems the world government has no intention of letting their conquerors go free. Talk about sore losers! If you have any information about the whereabouts of any of these men, be sure to inform your local marines immediately. Anyone harboring or aiding these fugitives will be seen as enemies of the world government and tried as accomplices.
ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
The pirate rookie of October is Gerald Strum also known 'Dead Sight' ! As tradition, capturing this pirate and turning him into the government within the next month will reward the individual with 10,000,000 (bonus)beli, and instantly become a serious contender for the position of Shichibukai, should the captor be a pirate.
THE HEROES OF JUSTICE
One might feel threatened with all these Pirates and Revolutionaries going about their dreadful crimes of anarchy and selfish destruction, but law abiding citizens need not fear, for some are still willing to stand proud in the name of Justice and all that is righteous. Alas the marines have not shown as much of this behaviour, with having two of their own newly appointed Rear Admiral turn on fellow marines during the mass failure of the red line. While many have turned their eyes from the marines, no longer having hope within the organisation, certain names flow about the world. Ba'al, a mysterious female whom has consumed the Supa Supa No Mi seemingly played a part in bringing down the feared Man Eater Jester. With her Nuki Nuki Ashi and Supa Supa combinations she is certainly becoming a fierce contender, having become one of the two newly appointed Rear Admirals.
Though special mention must be given to one of the Ex-Jailers of Impel Down. A Marine whose reputation caused many a pirate to fear her within and outside of the walls of the prison. The octopus fishwoman was without a doubt one of the main reasons the marines defeat was not worse. Who could have predicted traitors within their own rank. Regardless this fishwoman was the source of the capsizing boats.Clarissa Syfer [No relation to Rear Admiral Giselle Syfer] slipped through the water to take on the marines underwater ships before witnessing Ex-Rear Admiral Derous's traitorous kill.
Both women have been asked for a statement though neither have responded.
With the sweltering amount of pirates now in the grandline, and the public aware of the corruption in the marines it would seem that publick opinion has once again dropped below the bar:
I just, i just can't believe he's gone. He was a strong, handsome and loving man. He would have stopped the revoloutinary army and those pirates, if only he knew. If only he knew that he would be betrayed by corruption in the marines. I just...I just want to say thank you to those who have supported my family through this time, and to Clarissa Syfer, thank you for not letting him go down with the ship

Useless, thats what they have been, first Enies gets trashed, there are thousands of marines their and it took 3 pirates to cause so much destruction. That problem gets taken care of and now this, now we have brand new rear admirals killing their own. A bunch of law hating pirates in the grandline, well least they wont be bugging me and my kin no more but If you ask me its all planned, it has to be. This will finish em, the marines are done

With the sweltering amount of pirates now in the grandline, and the public aware of the corruption in the marines it would seem that publick opinion has once again dropped below the bar, a representative for the marines released this statement:
The marines have suffered a grievous loss, we have suffered a blow to our forces and the loss of two of our beloved marines. Sansom and Seishiro will live on in the wills of their crew mates and families. We understand that we have failed to protect the red line from intruding pirates but we are rallying our forces. Both Derous and Asher are being handled, their punishements will certainly fit their crimes. We apologize and will do everything within our power to correct this mistake

But will the Marines have enough manpower, even as Piracy reports keep increasing? We can only hope they will, for all of our sakes...
