"Another day another dollar, holla! Cap'N lets go!Ataru was excited to get started on an adventure in Rubeck. They had both been sitting down at a bar about to have a drink when the DDM had picked up a distress call. Ataru bored and hoping for a reward wanted to leave. He knew that Knuckles was feeling the same way. He didn't know exactly kind of distress the people from the call were in, but that didn't matter. Hopefully we won't have to take any lives your already Renown here we don't need more prying eyes.

As a result Ataru had taken to religiously wearing his helmet only taking it off to take a drink. Or when he was going to bed other then that it was always on. Ataru's paranoia had not decreased significantly since joining the crew and this was one of the ways that helped him handle it. Knuckles so far hadn't been bothered by it, he hoped that he would continue to be quiet on the subject for now. The city itself was still such wonder to Ataru, it was rare to see a civilization so far ahead in the blues. This was a place that would make a wonderful base, he would definitely relay that idea to Knuckles in private later. Possibly when they had more manpower capable of handling it. He knew that Knuckles was working on a way for them to gain more manpower in his labs. At least that's what he assumed, Ataru still had to figure out what he was going to do about his network once they were discovered. The thought passed quickly and they were almost already to the distress call as he looked at Knuckles.

"So what's the plan we just wan to run in dials ablazing?"

Slightly buzzing when the call came in the two had left after agreeing to take it up looking for some money. It cost to fund a Crew and damn if he wasn't hurting as the Rev only sent him what he needed for basic missions. It was a god damn drag! He needed the funds to finish his Androids, they were holding him back at this point though he did have a growing crew and the escort services was nice. The two seemed to have gotten to the distress call rather Quickly. Hearing the question that Ru asked knuckles stopped dead in his tracks. Knowing what gear Ru had on him by this point and time in their travels he knew they had the gear to get some insight on the area up ahead. "Stop fucking calling me Cap'n all the time maaan! " Buy this time it should of been apparent that Knuckles maybe had a little too much to drink. "call me Knux man, Knu-ux. So this is what we gunna do! Use that those boots and that vision dial to get a bird's eye view to see what we are dealing with, then we can pick if we're going in blazing or nice and easy!" he might have been a little drunk but his brain was still as smart as ever, at least he thought so at the moment. Knuckles hope Ru would agree with the plan while he slapped his face trying to sober up a bit more.

Unfortunately for Knuckles, Ataru had also been drinking so he of course thought this was a brilliant idea. Jumping 10 meters into the air using his left boot with one activation, then using his vision dial he looked at the scene of the call. Sure enough there were cats all huddled in a circle behind a couple humans. Surrounding them was a large amount of scorpions. He counted maybe 20 or more but since he was a little drunk he coulnd't get an exact count before he hit the ground. Also not expecting to hit the ground as fast Ataru fell on his ass and laughed for a second before speaking to Knuckles.

"You know manners don't cost a damn thing Knux! Erbody always talking shit..Hiccup...I'm just trying to be professional damn ingrates. Theirs like 20 motherfucking scorpions down there. Which is great cause now I can test out some of my sword skills." He would listen to Knuckles response before prepping his boots for the second activation to get into range of the scorpions. Once he launched himself into range about 10 meters out he screamed at the scorpions hoping to draw their ire and attention.

"HEY HEY HEY! OVER HERE FRESH MEAT!" It's probably important to point out at that while wearing his helmet Ataru's voice is a little muffled. So this sounds much more comical
Some of the scorpions started to move towards Ataru, but what really surprised him was when 6 of the T3 scorpions shot out of the sand. The first one, managed to get a good side swipe with its tail on Ataru, he knew that either his ribs were bruised or broken. He had to ignore it for now though as he drew his sword it was time to show one of his strongest techniques. Activating his right boot twice, to increase his speed 12 after images formed. The scorpions started to attack the images while he Ataru sliced up all 6 of the scorpions while he landed in the middle. The afterimages fading with the scorpions being sliced at the same time. He'd look back at Knuckles and say "How many style points do I get for that shit....Hiccup."

Knuckles eyes became large and quick, of course Ru went in after just saying the information e needed to form a plan. Coming in behind him a lot slower as he didn't have all that fancy dials setup to keep up with Ru. Once Knuckles did reached the fight he noticed that Ru had taken damage must of been the Doctor in him, he could probably heal him up if he got close enough. The issue was, he couldn't really do anything at this point they needed to clear the threat first. Knuckles could barely keep up with Ru's movements all he could see was a blur before several of Ru appeared not even Knuckles knew who was who. "Woah Ru that shit was boss!" He had to do something awesome too, Sad thing was he had no cool tricks like that but he was a good fighter and knew how to get ahead. While Ru was drawing the attention of all the giant scorpions Knuckles ran around to the back for 4 of them, 2 were larger(t3) than the other two(t2) Knuckles cocked back his left fist as he leaped forward jumping onto the closest large one which was only about 5 meters away when he jumped. Once on top of it Knuckles activated the axe Dial at point blank range blowing it head clean off. Green blood/ ooze flew all over his outfit. The body flopped to the floor in an instant, Knuckles pointed his hand at the smaller one to his right blast out another axe dial blast missing it's head but taking out its legs on the right side. "Shit!" He yelled as he rolled off the larger Scorpion he was ontop of using it's body as cover.

"Good shit Knux, you know you're doing it right when you get dirty. Take out the the smaller ones with the thunder like this! Ataru would lift his sword and point it at the remaining 3 T3 Scorpions. The arc managed to hit all three but Ataru wanted to be sure they wouldn't get back up expending all of the dial's uses on them. The smell of their burnt carcasses started to permeate in the air as Ataru used his swordsmanship to catch the remnants of the thunder dial on his sword. The arc across his blade gave it a purple hue in the sunlight as he grinned at Knuckles. Normally Ataru wasn't to keen using some of his more advanced techniques but since they were fighting against man eating scorpions he felt a lot more comfortable than usual. The alcohol wasn't making it to hard of a decision to show off either, with his swagger at max he would begin talking to the men they were saving.

"HEY, REMEMBER WHO SAVED.....HICCCUP....WHO SAVED ALL OF YOU FALCONS RISE IN THE SUN MOTHERFUCKERS" Ataru would definitely not remember most of this adventure tomorrow and if reminded he would deny it vehemently. He figured that Knuckles could handle the rest of the scorpions but he would help him if he needed any, Ataru didn't want to hog the spotlight too much. As he was walking towards the villager he realized that he must of missed a scorpion in his vision dial. It was huge, larger than all the other scorpions it shot out through the sand like a geyser erupting. The sand obscured Ataru's vision, he shot his left gauntlets axe dials to clear the sand and to attempt to hit the scorpion. Sadly in his drunken state he missed both shots, but at least the sand was cleared from the air in his immediate area. The Giant scorpion was squaring up with Ataru, he knew he still had his blade with thunder. He was observing him first, he didn't want to miss again that would shred some of his cred. Also he was starting to feel the effect of using so many of his skills in such a short time.

Knuckles was too bust trying to not get stabbed with the tails to watch Ru perform his electric attacks but he did manage to see the glowing sword. That shit was cool! Knuckles rolled backwards putting some distance between him and the other little scorpions. Activating the thunder dial once he managed to hit 5 of the T2 scorpions frying the up with the arc burn from the dial. Lightning was becoming one of his favorite things in the world as he started to think of the thing he could do with it. That was something for another time however. It seemed Ru was yelling out some off the wall things. "What happen to that professionalism and everyone talks shit suff His speech was suffering from hsi drinking. Lucky for him he had another shot left in his thunder dial and activated it while rushing over to help Ru once he noticed the large as Scorpion coming out the sand.

He looked to the people he was saving and their cats? "Come to me if you want to liver!" He really hoped they got paid for this even those they were shitted faced drunk. All that remained was the larger Scorpion one would dare call it the Scorpion king! As long as no mummy would appear that could regenerate they would be fine he thought anyway. Knuckles was eager to slay this beast and also wanted to take a vile of its blood back with him to see what he could do with it.

Ataru laughed at Knuckles comments while they were fighting, while he wasn't out of breath Ataru knew that this would be his last sword skill of the day. He didn't want to kill the beast himself as he knew that Knuckles axe dial would be up and functional soon. Instead he would weaken the beast it was still staring straight at Ataru as he brought his blade up. "Time for the ultimate teamwork air blade cutting attack. You Ready KNUX!! Ataru of course had never gone over any such attack with Knuckles. In fact he had never done any kind of teamwork attack with anyone, ever. He always seemed to be a little eccentric when he drank, that and he remembered things that never happened.

"Don't worry folks after this show, I'll calm down the cats with my love and affection! Ataru didn't particularly care for animals but they were pretty cute drink. Using his thunderous blade to block the scorpion while simultaneously firing out two of his axe dial shots from his right hand. Ataru block managed to sever the creatures stinger. While the two dial blades of air went soaring towards the giant scorpion. The axe dial took off two of the scorpions left back legs. This would disrupt it's balance even it was only for a short amount of time.He aimed specifically to maim and hurt the creature leaving it alive for Knuckles to finish off. Mostly cause Ataru was to lazy to climb on it and finish it with his blade, his ribs were still a little bruised.At least that's the excuse I'll use if he asks in reality fuck that I don't want to get dirty.I wonder what kind of reward we'll get from what I gathered these people love their cats here. So saving a cat probably meant a decent reward especially with such a convincing performance!

KNuckles nodded to the idea of a super teamwork ari attack, something he never heard of but that was okay. He knew they plan or so he hoped. By the time Ru had blown the back legs off the thing Knuckles was just reaching its rear. As it's body started to tilt Knuckles dashed now at full speed by this time and slid under it. "Air Combo Super attack!" He yelled as loud as he could of course. Leaping up he reached out with his left hand firing two Ari Axe dial blast, the first one broke the shell like structure around it's head as the second one went right tough scattering the brains and flying out the other side. A rain of Green blood sprayed down upon him as an X shaped hole was literally right over him. The Creature staggered back in forth before falling hard into the sands.

The show was over he had hoped, he looked over to Ru remembering he was hurt and knew how to fix it. Walking over to the Scorpion's tail he broke it open gaining access to the position. Taking his finger and dabbing it in he gave it a small taste. Nodding his head he went back to the head of the scorpion and took its salvia and mixed the two. Where did He Mix this you asked in the head of the scorpion. Walking Over to Ru he placed the head near his feet. "Here this should um heal youu Rights up..Or Make you have the shits for a weeks.

They had finished of the giant scorpion and the group of cat guardians who had been watching started to cheer. Luckily for Ataru they didn't really understand what he had been shouting at them with his muffled helmet and drunken state. So when they approached they looked at Knuckles first while Ataru started to drink the mixture that had been made to make him feel better. First he removed his helmet finally revealing his face. One or two of the cat guardians face was shocked, Ataru was renown in this blue so they had probably seen his face on a wanted poster."Man you burn down one building and everyone goes crazy. Drinking the mixture then putting his helmet back on Ataru's stomach definitely rumbled like it wasn't a good thing but his ribs did feel significantly better.

"Thank you for rescuing us, we didn't think anyone would answer the distress call. We were on our way to perform the daily grooming ritual for the cat royalty, you have earned great favor in our land today. If these cats had been allowed to die there would of been great anarchy thrusted upon the families of the land. There will be an adequate reward given to you as such, what are your names."

Ataru still not trying to puke from the mixture decided to stay silent. His stomach was gurgling he could feel each tiny bubble popping while sweat dripped down his face. It was like the moment when you had just too much to drink but you didn't want to throw up.I can fight this! Got to stay strong Ru ain't no punk bitch! His face was a little more pale, which luckily wouldn't be visible thanks to his helmet. That was the other factor to consider if he puked he'd either have to take off his helmet or clean it later. Neither of the ideas was to appealing to Ataru so he just grimaced while he looked at Knuckles.

Knuckles was shocked that Ru drank it, after all Knuckles had been drinking his balancing of the chemicals could of been off. He hope that they weren't for Ru's sake. Here came the hard part of the mission acting like he was Perfectly able to have a good Conversation. "We're the Falcons of Hell. Our Names or not really important just the fact that you and more importantly these CATS were saved!" He could only wonder why Ru was so quiet, perhaps the mixture was indeed off after all. Knuckles wipes the green blood from his face making sure to note everyone whom he had seen here tonight. He had to remember their faces for future uses or to receive the payment. "We would happy accept the reward you offered us. If you happen to have it on you at the moment that would be great." Depending on the answer depended on if he would walk them out of this dangerous area or not. He knew it was fucked up but he could loot the bodies if they had died on the way home. Reaching that point in his drunkenness were he was becoming dead ass tired, he needed to find out their answer soon. First though he needed to collect some more of this poison so he could research it further in his lab and see what compounds it had that made it so deadly to humans. He knew Ry would be fine due to the saliva of the scorpions which typically nulls out their positions and has healing traits like all spit.

The men did have rewards on them, they also promised a little more once they arrived safely in the city. This seemed fair to Ataru so finally feeling a little bit better he spoke as well."That's acceptable, lets hurry back to town I'm starting to get a little tired. In truth the drunkness was starting to fade a little, partially because of the dehydration taking Ataru's focus along with his stomach. They began to walk back to the city, Ataru's guard was up though his perception was a little worse than usual. Luckily nothing extreme happened on the way back to town, the wind had picked up a little but not enough for it to be a sandstorm. Instead there was just occasional drifts of sand Ataru was glad for his helmet at a time like this as none of it could get in his eyes.

Once they made it to the main road and closer to civilizations the winds pretty much stopped. They traveled on the main road for some time not seeing a soul, then eventually a carriage passed them on the road. It didn't stop, but it was nice to see another soul again the guardians had been quiet the whole trip. They were probably still a little rattled from the scorpions, especially odd since the route to the temple should be cleared by the guards of the city. This interested Ataru, if there was some kind of internal power struggle going on it would be the perfect time for the underworld to intercede. Ataru would occasionally say a word or two to Knuckles along the way but since they were near others now he mostly stayed quiet. He didn't need anymore unwanted attention, it was uncomfortable enough being renown in the blues. Also the queasiness had not completely left his stomach either, they soon arrived at the palace of cats. Once there the guardians would thank them over and over again while they waited for the payment.Once it had been received Ataru would look at Knuckles and say one thing before he went to bed. He needed a nap, and possibly to throw up."Good job, once I feel better we should debrief this....Hiccup. See ya Knux.

It wasn't long that the had made it back, the streets seemed empty and Knuckles was tired. He thought about just laying there in the streets till morning came but knew that would worry his men back on the ship. Once they had dropped the people and the cats off back in town he and Ru parted ways. Knuckles wasn't ready to throw up probably due to the fact he didn't move his body so fast as Ru did. He was glad with that, he needed to go and finish his experiments tho. Likely that they be ready for the next time they did something of this nature. First thing first he needed a bath and to run some test on this fluid he found. He needed to make sure he didn't cause Ru some type of side effect. Returning to the ship he took his bath and burned his clothing as there was no washing this stuff out. He checked in with North to let him know he was alive. Now it was time to go into his lab and put some final touches on his next big project. All in all he was excited to see the finished current project and test it out on his next adventure with Ru. After all they still needed to find some more crew members for their crew before things got a little too handsy here. There was was something about this place they shouted exploit me. He would do just that!
