Lucas was still scrambling to find an answer for what caused this ruthless destruction to the town at the hands of the titans. He did not know how they got here but yet the sound of the guard that he killed back so far ago would continue to voice in his head as he walked through the town. Typically when it came to the cryptic words of a dying man, he was pretty much able to gather that the words would not mean much and they only would come about if the man or woman in some cases was either very desperate or drastic and not really sure what it was that they were saying. Lucas could not help but feel like what the guy that he had to take down had said when he was speaking to him was actually somehow related to the incident that he was now having to bear witness to. He honestly speaking to just himself was not really sure if his hunch was correct but to ignore a potential clue would be kind of foolish and he did not take himself to be a fool. He figured that the best thing to do when you were not that sure about what it was that you were actually supposed to be doing was to see if you had a chance of doing dumb luck. He shrugged at the fact that he was not really sure what he was going to do and figured he might as well try his luck.

Lucas continued on and saw that there were currently no more titans in the village. He thought that maybe this was all just some big kind of coincidence and what he was told was not actually in any way or shape or form related to what he was looking for in this village. He sighed, as he knew that this was probably not the case and that there was something bigger going on. Dwelling on hunches that were probably false was how you were able to get nowhere fast. Lucas would assess the damage and see how bad things had gotten since before he had taken down the titans that decided to come in the village and fuck up things in here while he was not present. It was actually pretty bad from his first glance. Houses had been caved in though there was no apparent blood splatter so the causality rate appeared to not be existent at all. That fatal optimism of Lucas was getting the best of him again but he figured it would not hurt to bring some form of good shine on what was turning out to be kind of a shitty day. He looked around more to get a look at all that he would be forcing himself to help with and saw that a tree had been knocked down on to a house that was very near to him. He could hear the cries of the struggles of the people who were still in the town and had not fled.

Lucas ran to the closest home where he was still able to hear signs of life and figured that he might have some luck if he was able to see somebody that he had rescued just to get closure in terms of not believing that what happened at the prison was not somehow related to what the hell was happening now. His hands shook though it was not out of fear but rather anticipation of things that were to come once he was to enter the home of the person. He hoped that he would not have to deal with another titan once he entered the home but he knew and felt it in his soul that that was a possibility should what he learned be related to what is happening. He walked in the home and looked around to where the tree had been knocked down and was in. He could see nothing at first so he went further in. The collapse into the home appeared to have shaken the foundation of the once apparently looking nice home that he was now looking through. Pictures were now on the floor ruined and cracked while vases and other expensive looking items lay on the floor turning it into nothing more than a dump because of the damage that had been done to it. Lucas would continue his look and at the lowest part of the tree in the home would see a man lying there with his legs pinned to the floor by the cruelness of nature. He knew he had to help.

Before he could get to the trapped man, another Titan stood in his way, this one much weaker than the previous ones that he had fought. The titan would immediately charge at him wasting no time to try and wait for him to move. Lucas used and kept sustained two skills of his with one being Shadowbox and the other being Bounce. As the creature came near him, Lucas would jump using his wings to give him a nice boost to his speed no matter how temporary it would be. He would avoid the glancing swings of the creature’s arms and deliver in succession one strike with a jab and follow that immediately with a swift kick to the face leveling the creature and sending it to the ground not dead but rather just in an unconscious heap on the floor next to the tree. The man spoke no words which made Lucas doubt if he was alive anymore but he saw the ebb and flow of the chest of the elder who looked to be far older than that of Lucas himself. He had to figure out a way to help save the man from having to be forced to be pinned under this tree for the rest of his life. Lucas looked around and found a large stick and a brick. He figured this would make a good system in order to give the tree some type of leverage so that he would be able to slowly slide the male from other the tree. For now this would require him to use extreme focus. As he went to pull the man from under it, he heard a hollow voice say no. He looked and saw the man with his eyes open pointing to the tree.

Son please leaves it on there so that everyone will be safe. What do you mean sir? The man was the perfect person for Lucas was to find. He began to explain what it was that he was looking for. The place they took us was a large facility that is located underground. This facility marked us with a cursed mark. The first to turn into those creatures was our mayor. The mark causes a sickness that quickly overtakes the host before turning them into the creatures the evil guys called titans. That was our mayor they made you fight and slay. We are all marked but the only ones turn faster are the elderly and the sick. Our unfortunate mayor just so happened to be both. This tree is my prison as I can already feel the transformation happening. Son can you do me a favor and end me before I go. I don’t want to become that monstrosity. I don’t want to hurt anyone. Lucas knew that killing in cold blood was against the code of his faction but to deny a person in pain healing would be considered unforgivable. He felt to oblige by the will of the male and end him. His request would be denied as the man would rapidly turn into the creature he wished not to see. The man turned into a titan that was unlike the others. Jet black and angry looking was the creature that he was near. K..il…l Me…..

The creature through tree off of his body and looked confused. The creature still seemed to have a shred of humanity in his body as he was able to somehow speak illogical language that was broken apart in grunts and guttural speak. Lucas unsheathed his sword as he knew that he would have to obey the last wish of the man. He may not have been able to stop him from turning but he would be damned if he would not obey what was technically the last words of the man that though he had not known him that long, he owed the man a great deal. Two hulking arms would crash down as Lucas was barely being able to dodge in time though he would take quick swinging arms to the back of the leg. It was not broken as the blow was just glancing but he knew that he would have to take it easy on that injury otherwise he might not be able to win this. Recovering from the strike in just the right amount of time, Lucas would fire a nice blast of vibrating air at the creature striking it in the face and sending it through the ruins of the house dazing it slightly but not at all finishing it. Lucas quickened his step using his maneuver, Cataclysm. He then activated his skills Shadowbox, Bounce, and Jasmine.

These skills would allow him to combo this creature while also ending the battle as quick as he was able though this was only in theory as he still had to account for the battle prowess of the creature. Using the enhanced speed of his skill along with his wings for takeoff, Lucas would slide around the back of the right leg of the creature just getting out of range of the next pair of strikes that it would unleash. It kicked its taloned foot back but this was quickly cleaved off by a swift strike from the blade of Lucas that was followed up by a combination of bounce and jasmine. This combination would happen without hesitation or rest and ended with the foot of the creature being sent further away. It would still balance despite the effectiveness of its blows being weakened by the loss of its foot though it would continue try and defeat him. Lucas held the blade to his side and with a quick dash to the side that was without a foot would cleave through the head of the creature bisecting it and removing it from the rest of the body. Lucas shed a tear as he had met the old man and was unable to save him from death at the hands of someone he would never knew respected him. He sheathed his blade and left the house.
