"WHERE IS IT?! I KNOW YOU TOOK IT!"
"Woah, calm down! What are you talking about?!"
"DON'T BULLSHIT ME!"
So much drama. When Eldritch picked the pocket of the man that was now so passionately belligerent, he hadn't expected that the male would react in such a way. Though it was true most people never really reacted in positive ways when a possession of theirs had been stolen, he hadn't expected a reaction like this out of someone that Eldritch initially thought of as "meek". It was obvious that this had been a prime example of "judging a book by its cover". In spite of this unexpected reaction, Eldritch found this entire fiasco quite entertaining. It probably wouldn't have been this entertaining had Eldritch been the target of this male's outburst, but since the man had his sights set on an innocent bystander as being the perpetrator of the theft Eldritch had been able to sit back and relax while watching the events unfold.
Even though Eldritch would never admit it, he loved the drama that a majority of his actions always seemed to cause. There was something almost addictive about seeing how much your actions could affect the world around you, and how easily one could influence the emotions and reactions of another. The atmosphere within the tavern that was once filled with nothing but peace, love, and good vibes had now been replaced with a tension so thick that it could be cut with a chainsaw. The fighting between the belligerent male and the innocent bystander even seemed to infect others, causing them to do the same. People were now frustrated and arguing about inconsequential matters. Anger seemed to always be the easiest emotion to infect others with, and despite how entertaining this all was, Eldritch knew he needed to make an exit before he ended up a victim of his own doing.
With his ill-gotten gains in pocket, Eldritch thought that it may have been about time to prepare himself to exit - but not before he had another drink, of course. After the bartender made his way over to him and poured Eldritch yet another drink, the bearded man also began pouring a drink for a girl that had only recently made her way into the bar. She'd shown up and began asking about the location of a few Marines. However, before Eldritch could hear the end of this conversation he found himself already finishing his drink. With a short sigh, the young man placed a few Beli notes on the bar and made his way out of the door.
Eldritch found himself surprised as he looked around the town, wondering why it looked completely different than it had only hours earlier. It then occurred to him that he'd walked inside of that tavern in the middle of the day, and the scene was now completely dark. He hadn't been in this town long at all and he knew almost nothing about it. This ignorance coupled with the fact that it was now completely dark outside (save for a few street lamps), meant that Eldritch was completely and utterly lost. This of course didn't stop Eldritch from deciding that his best course of action would be to just walk straight and hope he'd run into something that gave him an idea of where he was. Luckily, before he could make good on this course of action, the girl that he'd only briefly encountered earlier in the bar had finally made her exit as well.
After a short debate in his head about whether or not he should ask this woman for direction, Eldritch finally decided that getting some help from a local would probably be easier than simply wandering around Briss in the dark. As he came to this conclusion, he noticed that she'd already seemed to be walking a short distance away to the alley nearest the bar. From her mannerisms, Eldritch could already tell that something was going on with her, and that it was about a bit more than merely returning a simple item as most people didn't necessarily need to peek around corners or lower their hood in order to do so.
With all of this piquing his interests, Eldritch decided that this may have been interesting enough to put off sleep to witness. With the soundless human's power activated, Eldritch began to sneak towards the location that the girl once stood at the entrance of the alley- about a distance of 13 meters away from his current position. Once he reached the location, Eldritch managed to peek around the corner of the alleyway in time to witness two murders that were utterly graceful in their execution. It had been a while since Eldritch had seen an obviously well trained killer. Sure, it wasn't exactly rare to find one man killing another; but it was rare to see the talents of someone who had training in the art of killing as swiftly and efficiently as possible. With his devil fruit abilities now willingly canceled, Eldritch believed that it was now time to give away the fact that he was there. Of course, the idea of antagonizing a woman that just killed two men in an instant probably wasn't the wisest course of action, but then again, Eldritch didn't hold any intent to antagonize her. In fact, Eldritch merely wanted to state how impressive he found her skills to be. Just in case though, Eldritch continued to stand at his distance of ten meters away from the female.
"Woahhh, that was pretty cool, lady. Where'd you learn to do that?"Eldritch was genuinely curious about where she'd learned how to make use of a dagger so eloquently. He had access to a dagger of his own, and though he liked to think that he was able to make use of it better than the average assassin, he had to admit that his mastery with the blade didn't come close to hers.
