"Here, Beki baby." Derous would say as he would turn his attention to Beki, after Croc gave his threat. His gaze didn't really urn away from Croc, as Beki was on the table in front of them. Well, since Derous' hands weren't filled with fish anymore and Beki was busy eating he could address Croc.
"Friend or Foe. A question I've been asked so many times in my life, and each time. I have no real answer. As, I don't know what I really am in the eyes of others. Maybe, for you. I am simply food, as your lustful eyes tell me sooo much. As I know you are a fishman, or some weird offspring of one. And you are a simple beast, unlike us Humans. " A Derous talked he would move the table that was between them, as to make only space and opportunity. And need be react anyway to avoid any potential danger as he did this, as well as when he spoke. Also, as he did this it seemed to be a foul stench that would be smelled throughout the crew, the gas pouring out of Derous' pours when he first gave Beki it's fish.
So, when he had finally finished talking it had already reached it's max range. It wasn't lethal though, but if it was there would be no stopping it. The crew wold most likely have brief look of disgust on their faces, as that would be the normal reaction Humans would taken when smelling an rotten corpse. But, for two others on this ship the reaction might be different. Beki, an baby Bananawani, instinctively would stop eating and rush to the far side of the room; as the soon to be dangerous creature knew full well the danger before him. Not to cower in fear but make space. Growling and make it clear it would attack if Derous approached him.
"You shouldn't ask me if I am a friend or foe. But be very cautious of me, as well as everyone you ever come across. Though I hold no ill will to this crew, including you, nor our beloved Captain, I don't like threats. So, refrain from making them about anyone on this ship, please? We are all...Family." Derous, if not interrupted, would then walk past Croc and begin to ascend the stairs to the deck. If Croc did want to continue the next course of attention for Derous would be a bit more lethal, but he didn't think that would happen. Though this ability is usually used for creature that don't hold any real intelligence, well able to talk, like Fishman the effect would be the same. As at the end of the day Croc was still a creature of this world and not Human. And Derous didn't think he was dumb or didn't trust it's instincts. But, who knows what Croc will do. Maybe he doesn't care about what his instincts may tell him, or maybe he doesn't have or utilize them.
But if Derous was right and Croc would stand down Derous would tell him something before heading back to the deck.
"Keep feeding Beki those fish in that barrel, I know he is still hungry. " And after uttering that the gas would no longer linger and would soon fade once Derous was back on the deck.
- Passive:
Pestilence-Derous can also can let out an odor a extremely strong poison that comes from his pores. This clear gas goes in all directions for up to 30m, and for the price of stamina it can be increased. The price being 10 stamina for 10 meters. This particular poison has one functions and that is to repel, or intimidate. The repelling poison isn't deadly at all; the smell to humans is that of a rotting corpse; to the wild beasts of the world though it is a bit more of a warning, warning that Derous isn't something they can eat or should go near. This makes creatures the same tier and below go out of their way to avoid Derous, this doesn't mean they won't do anything if attacked by Derous. The Cost is 5 stamina for every three posts, though if the range is increased the price is also increased by 5.
