ARC TASK[Arrival] Sunshine_hand_tumblr

Ah...Damn, so this is it...?

Byron would quickly shift out of his bird form, now arriving directly at it. Thanks to his ability to fly in between areas due to his zoan fruit. The sun got in his eyes, causing the guy to raise his hand at the sky in order to block it off from fully blinding him.  The heat beat down on him like a whip nearly. As he'd start to walk forward. Taking in the sights of Ohara, there were some nice trees and ambience here. Place was pretty quiet, perhaps too quiet...Walking on the plains near the coast, it was really empty around here, upahead however he would see the forest that he'd read about was on the island. Making his way, he would hear a strange sound near him. A loud snort, the okama would turn around to see that it was a caribou. Looking directly at him, he'd leap back for a minute taken off guard and startled. Byron wasn't exactly....Smooth when it came to any kind of animals. He'd turn around and just walk away from it, normally most people liked to actually interact with animals, but he wasn't that type.

Two Hours Later...

It was still day, and the sun was still shining. Only two hours had passed as Byron arrived near the center of the area. Noticing houses built around some kind of, very large tree.  He'd take the time to survey them, studying the firm texture of the houses, their smooth framework and how small and convenient they were. In fact this was some real house porn right here...The Firm Tiles on the house, the smooth laquer painted on the walls.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh....

Surprisingly, that wasn't coming from Byron, but a guy standing near him. He'd turn to his left to see a guy staring passionatly at one of the houses. In fact, he was mesmerized by it in a trance almost. Curious, Byron walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.Hey uh, are you alright? You seem to really like that uh....House.Quickly, the man would snap out of his trance upon being tapped, moving over the slight slober that had come out of his mouth and turned to face Byron. He was a lanky man that was more or less around the okama's height. Pretty skinny and carried a pair of researchers type glasses. Overly formal dressed too, O-Oh Uh. Don't mind that. Uh, I really wasn't looking at that house.

Alright...I totally Believe you on that one.

Uh. Can I help you with anything however? I haven't seen you around here I think.
Yeah actually. My Name's Byron, I just decided to check out the Island, You live around here? Yeah, my name's Saul. Huh alright... So Saul, What exactly is on this island that's interestin?Seems to be nothing but trees, a giant tree, and some houses. In truth nothing here really did interest him much, Well. Ohara is actually an island where people study, there's alot of Archaeologists here if your interested in that sort of stuff. I happen to be one of them.

An Archaeologist huh?I actually study a bit of history myself you see. On the side, I'm a doctor. Mind showing me around a bit? He'd pose the question to Saul carefully. Not like he was obligated to do so, but hey. He would not decline him actually. Sure, the first place your gonna wanna go is that large tree though. Really...?What exactly is inside of it? You'll see.

and so, the duo walked off to the inside of the research facility tree. Byron was taking a decent liking to this place already, was pretty calm, quiet, and people weren't trying to kill him right now.Maybe he could get used to a place like this.

...Is it odd that I think too many people died in history?

Your not the only one, our history is pretty violent. Yeah Byron, there was alot of fighting done in the past 100 years, especially when all the things we keep digging up tend to be outdated weapons. Here check this out.Saul would go over to his briefcase and pull out a old, dusty and very wornout revolver. Bringing it back to the table he was sitting at with Byron and a few others. Met with a few surprised "oohs". I dug up this bad boy a week ago actually. Doesn't seem to work, probably was an old pirate's or marines.

Byron had been acquainting himself with the people of Ohara, sitting around at a local table within the research tree that was on the island. Which turned out to be surprisingly vast from the inside. He had met a few Archaeologists and was now bantering with them about history and their own findings. So you guys find things like this pretty often? On some islands yes. Though it just isn't easy to find relics of any kind sometimes. We often have to follow little hints the environment leaves us. Archaeologists didn't exactly have an easy job. Studying the recent past of humans through relics and the like. Only problem was actually finding said relics either.

I myself am not a Archaeologist, but I am a Historian, on the side. I'm mostly a doctor though.

Really?Never seen a doctor come around here often.Usually seem them in the cities rather than on a place like Ohara.

Well, there's a first time for everything. The group would continue to speak about other topics within history, such as the previous age of piracy and other mini relics they had found. Saul would continue to twirl the revolver around, after all it didn't exactly work right? Suddenly though, he'd accidently click the trigger while the revolver was aimed at the air. Shooting out one of the lights in the room they were in.

...Huh, Guess it really does work.

Damnit Saul be careful with that thing!

Some of the Archaeologists were freaked out, one had even resorted to almost immediatly running out of his seat, but Byron had just stood there. It wasn't like he intended to shoot anyone right now. Now Now. I'm sure Saul wasn't trying to blow any of our heads off.

The Archaelogist would move over and go back to putting the revolver in his briefcase, last thing he needed was the damn thing going off now. He'd make a note to take out the ammunition before taking it out next time...

So Byron, where you from? One of the Archaeologists chirped in. Getting to know him slightly, he was rather new to their circle.

Oh I'm from around East Blue, I came from LogueTown actually. How about you guys?

I'm from Yotsuba.
Baterilla
Oh me Uh...I came from Centaurea over in South Blue actually.
Briss Kingdom, I prefer the West over the South you know? Alot quieter.

Oh, I personally came from East Blue over to West because it just seemed more optimal for me to live around here. In truth Byron had fled his own pursurers, which failed on him. Even migrating to another blue did not make the okama safe, however maybe he had to fight for his own safety now. A place like this, he doubt it'd even be attacked or anything right? He could just stick around here.

Well it's nice to have you around Byron, You need anything don't be afraid to ask.

I appreciate it.

The room would be filled with the various conversations of the archaelogists as they continued to discuss their own personal findings and expeditions. Byron himself was enamored by their stories of adventure. Wanting to perhaps embark on one of his own.

And if you look to our left on the inside of the tree, you'll see even more rooms.Browsing through the library that was the tree of Knowledge. Byron was rather amazed at how much knowledge it really did contain. Then again it wasn't called the tree of Knowledge for nothing of course. Taking in the sights and sounds, the billowing of fresh pages being turned. This tree held unfathomable amounts of knowledge that some people would just kill to get their hands upon. Though they'd have to want to be able to get through a hell of alot of reading first. Most overly violent people didn't even like reading, or weren't even patient for that matter. Opting to be brutes or just kill for some quick Beli. The state the world was in was truely, horrific, yet good at the same time. Someone had to do something about it these days...The World Government wasn't exactly fixing things and seemed more preoccupied with maintaining control over the seas. He'd throw a quick question to those walking with him.

What do you think of how the world is right now?

What do you mean Byron?

I mean how everything is, all these looters everywhere, the marines barely do anything about it. What do you guys think>?
A variety of murmurs seemed to resonate from everybody, as they each gave their own sort of answer on the matter.
You know honestly, I think someone should change things around here you know what I mean?A Island like this isn't even protected, someone could come in and easily hurt you guys,.
You do have a point there Byron, but nobody really cares about Ohara either. I haven't exactly seen any dangerous situations pop up on this island. Plus the marines are in nearby areas. So if something does happen, they will be quick to mobilize to get over here.
And what if they don't KNOW something is happening here....?
Well....Your right on that, The marines don't seem to pay Ohara much mind either. It's relatively quiet here.Beyond a few guards we don't seem to really have much means of defence.

In my Opinion...Someone should change that. Things aren't exactly going "good" these days to afford no protection at all on an island such as this. An Island that contains...Knowledge.

And what exactly are you proposing Byron?

That someone, somewhere has to step up and make a difference. Otherwise the worlds gonna go down the sewers if things continue at the rate their going at right now. We need change.

Rather Revolutionary Talk you got Byron. Are you saying you would be the one to start change like that?Byron smirked at the man's talk. He wasn't exactly a revolutionist of any kind, but he was a pirate. A pirate that wanted freedom in the world, but what good was freedom if the world only turned into shit in the end?Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know. I'm not exactly defenceless, but if alot of people get together....Maybe we can change things you know?

I agree on that notion, it's been proven when people time and time again do get together. They can achieve anything. History has proven that countless times by itself.

The area they were in would be filled with talks of revolution almost by Byron's speaking. Despite him not having any form of correlation whatsoever to revolution or starting one of any kind. He pondered the idea though. A "Revolution", a "change". In how the world worked. What good was a world you didn't want to live in right? Maybe he could do something...Maybe he couldn't. Though he wouldn't know until he tried.

Meanwhile...In the distance a ship was starting to pull up on Ohara, a Large one with a big crew. As the captain would bark out orders before docking.

DROP THE ANCHOR MATES. TODAY. WE RAID THAT TREE!
